On the palate this 2011 Pietro Beconcini Chianti Riserva is persistent and elegant. Dry and medium to full bodied, this Chianti Riserva offers concentrated dark cherry and plum flavours that are combined with clove spice, a touch of prune and a hint of balsamic on the finish. A good level of acidity is really well integrated, as are the tannins of this Chianti Riserva which quite possibly is one of the most approachable Chianti Riserva's tasted this year.
Ready for drinking on release, this Chianti Riserva also offers potential for bottle maturation. Drink in the next eight years. 25,000 bottles produced.
